Dr Joe Webb Endorses PrintLink's New HR Bible at Graphics Canada

TORONTO, ON (November 13, 2009) - As the grand finale to his November-12th opening address at the Graphics Canada trade show, renowned printing-industry economist Dr Joe Webb held a draw for a copy of PrintLink's new HR Bible for the Printing Industry: A How-To Guide for Profitable Hiring. Heinz Belzer of HB Graphic Communications, Toronto, was the lucky prize winner.
During the draw, Dr Joe, who is director of WhatTheyThink.com's Economics and Research Centre, acknowledged the importance of effective HR management to business success in the printing field. His one-hour presentation for Graphics Canada, entitled "Digital Media's Challenge: Reawakening Print's Entrepreneurial Spirit" gave printers insight into future business opportunities in the logistics of communications through diversification into such new digital arenas as social media and smartphone technologies.
Dr Joe also held two draws for copies of his own book, "Renewing the Printing Industry: Strategies and Action Items for Success", now in its second edition, which reinforces many of the points in his keynote.
